45th Great Alsace Wine Competition in Colmar

The 45e Grand Concours des Vins d’Alsace de Colmar took place on Wednesday May 25th, 2016. This competition is organised annually by the Interprofessional Committee of Alsace Wines (CIVA: Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace), along with the Association of Alsace Wine-Growers (Association des Viticulteurs d’Alsace) and rewards gold or silver medals to the best AOC Alsace and Crémant d’Alsace of independent wine-makers, wine cooperatives and producer-traders in Alsace.

The wines competing this year were exclusively from the 2015 and 2014 vintage years for the AOC Alsace, and the 2014, 2013 and 2012 vintage years for the AOC Crémant d’Alsace.
